Discover the precious natural ingredients that enrich our products. Each active ingredient has been selected for its specific, scientifically tested properties to guarantee effectiveness and visible results while respecting your skin. PRICKLY PEAR
Opuntia ficus-indica, commonly known as prickly pear, is a plant belonging to the Cactaceae family, widespread in all countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.
It is rich in vitamin E, vitamin C and Omega 6 which help protect the skin from oxidative stress, aging and sun damage by stimulating cell renewal and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
Prickly pear extract, in particular, is extremely effective in ensuring deep and long-lasting hydration thanks also to the presence of linoleic acid and fatty acids, which help limit water and moisture loss, ensuring well-hydrated skin.
The properties of this plant are also very useful during the colder season, when the skin is stressed due to lack of hydration and intense cold.
POMEGRANATE
The pomegranate is a plant of the Punicaceae family present throughout the Mediterranean area.
Pomegranate seed extract is used in cosmetics for its high concentration of flavonoids, which fight free radicals, responsible for the aging of our body.
Pomegranate extract is rich in vitamins, including L-ascorbic acid (or vitamin C) and tocopherol acid (or vitamin E). These are two essential vitamins widely used in cosmetics as powerful antioxidants that help prevent skin aging.
RED VINE
Red vine (Vitis vinifera) is a plant in the Vitaceae family. A phytocomplex extract rich in flavonoids, anthocyanins, resveratrol, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and vitamins is extracted from the seeds, grape skin, and leaves. These substances provide excellent protection against free radicals on facial cells, counteracting skin aging and stimulating collagen synthesis. Red vine extract also has astringent and vasotonic properties, which, particularly around the eyes, help improve microcirculation and combat puffiness and dark circles.
CALENDULA
Calendula (Calendula officinalis) is a perennial herbaceous plant with excellent skin properties, belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is one of the most widely used medicinal plants in cosmetics, especially for its anti-redness and soothing properties and its ability to promote the regeneration of the epidermis and dermis. In cosmetics, calendula extracts are used to regenerate the skin and improve hydration, making it more elastic and resistant to mechanical and chemical irritation. Stimulating collagen production produces a visible anti-aging effect; the hydrating effect is ideal for treating the most delicate skin, even those affected by rosacea or acne. Calendula flower extract is also known for treating the eye contour, where the skin is thinner and more sensitive, and prone to swelling and irritation.
ALOE VERA
Aloe vera is a succulent plant that thrives in dry, warm subtropical climates and develops fleshy leaves 40-60 centimeters long. Two precious ingredients can be extracted from the leaves: juice and gel.
The gel comes from the central, innermost part of the leaf and is a watery substance, highly prized in cosmetics for its countless beneficial properties. Aloe vera gel is a true all-rounder and has long been appreciated for its soothing, healing, refreshing, anti-inflammatory, and hydrating properties. Thanks to the synergy of the plant's antioxidant and hydrating substances, aloe vera gel stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, two essential substances for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and maintaining a youthful, healthy appearance. Furthermore, the vitamins and minerals contained in aloe vera have strong antioxidant properties, counteracting the cellular aging process and combating damage caused by free radicals.
A lifting effect and smoothed wrinkles are a visible result after constant treatment based on Aloe vera.
CAFFEINE
Caffeine is an alkaloid, an organic basic substance of plant origin, in its pure state it is also called trimethylxanthine, contained in various plants, such as coffee, cocoa, tea, guarana, cola and maté.
Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, making it useful for treating areas prone to swelling and water retention, such as the eye contour, where it can reduce bags and dark circles. Furthermore, thanks to its energizing power, caffeine helps improve skin elasticity, making it smoother and firmer.
It is also suitable for the most sensitive skin.
SODIUM HYALURONATE
Hyaluronic acid is a hydrophilic molecule with the ability to retain water up to a thousand times its weight. For cosmetic use, sodium hyaluronate is commonly used, which is hyaluronic acid converted into a saline form to make it water-soluble.
Its main function is to attract and retain moisture in the skin, ensuring deep and long-lasting hydration. Thanks to sodium hyaluronate, cosmetic products can significantly improve the texture and appearance of the skin, keeping it supple and plump. Being a substance naturally produced by the body, the skin absorbs it very easily. The application of hyaluronic acid helps reduce the signs of aging while simultaneously maintaining adequate skin hydration.
VITAMIN E (TOCOPHEROL)
Vitamin E is widely used in cosmetics for its many properties. It improves the skin's surface condition, helps maintain a healthy moisture balance, and keeps it perfectly hydrated. Vitamin E has an important anti-inflammatory effect and protects our skin from free radicals. Cosmetics enriched with vitamin E are primarily used to keep the skin hydrated and soft, as well as radiant and glowing.
